Man, I love Howlers. Fans of Red Rising do not disappoint.
Pierce Brown headed to Comic-Con in San Diego this week to promote his beloved Red Rising series alongside other Del Rey Books authors, and the Howlers were there to support him.
I was actually at Comic-Con this year, but for work related reasons, so I was unable to participate in any of the Red Rising festivities. The closest I got was a glimpse of Pierce Brown’s autograph signing on Friday afternoon, which was a thrill in itself just to see Howlers lined up to meet the author. Fortunately, there’ve been a few great photos posted on social media showing off the excellent cosplay and photo opportunities with the author of this bloodydamn glorious series at San Diego Comic-Con 2018…
We’ll lead off with this gorgeous Mustang costume from Asobinas…

Absolutely stunning! She and this Sevro cosplayer got their photo with Pierce Brown, who posted this on his Instagram…

That Sevro costume is fracking prime…
And these two brought the Clown and Pebble pride to the Del Rey Books panel on Saturday night…
And for the too-cute-for-words category…
These gorgeous photos come from Samantha Mielke, who traveled all the way from Sylvan Lake, Alberta, Canada to attend Comic-Con…
Howler Marc Rasp showed up dressed as a Martian (of The Expanse, not of Lykos) when he got to meet Pierce Brown at the signing…
Meanwhile, ItsMeBiancaa was out and about distributing pins to those who found her and mentioned the phrase “Hail Libertas. Hail Reaper.”
As for Pierce Brown at Comic-Con this year, in addition to two autograph signings, the author was also present for the Del Rey Books panel on Saturday night, as well as what sounds like some kind of trivia panel on Friday. Check out the Del Rey Books panel below:
