Spoiler alert: This article contains details and photos revealing the content of Fae Crate’s Dark Age Hangover Recovery box. If you ordered one already and haven’t received it, you may want to wait and be surprised when it arrives!
This article contains NO SPOILERS from Dark Age.
Ahead of the Dark Age release, Fae Crate opened up pre-ordering for a Hangover Recovery Kit box, knowing we’d all need some fun Red Rising treats to help us get over whatever mayhem ensued in the fifth book of Pierce Brown’s series. And of course, they were right. The boxes began to ship last week and I got mine this weekend. It’s quite a bundle…

Above is everything that came in the box. The Hangover Kit also included a Reaper snuggie, which was so plush, it didn’t fit in the box, but shipped along with it. You can check that out below…

Because there’s no better way to look bloodydamn badass than cuddling up with a book in a Reaper Snuggie.
Now let’s take a closer look at all of the contents of the box. For those who purchased the box only (without the book and signed bookplate), here’s what was included…
Unicorn Ares Enamel Keychain

The keychain is a Fae Crate exclusive and seems like exactly the kind of keychain Sevro would appreciate. And speaking of Sevro…
Sevro Plushie

How freaking cute is this little wolfcloaked guy? My dog already wants to destroy him.
Sophocles Enamel Pin

This Fae Crate Exclusive was designed by Four Seasons Fox. I love how much love Sophocles gets. Those who got the Howler Edition Illumicrate box for Iron Gold may remember that Kavax’s beloved fox was given the keychain treatment that time around. Once again, it’s comforting to see that Sophocles is given plenty of jelly beans to snack on with his pin.
Character Cards

Evilienne16 provided the artwork for the excellent character cards included in the Fae Crate box. Each one comes with a pretty fantastic quote from their respective character.
Collector’s Coin

The above coin (front and back) was designed by VergeOfWisteria and has a nice bit of weight to it. I also love anything that comes in a little velvet pouch.
Howler’s Air Freshener

The air freshener is a Fae Crate exclusive and features the House Mars logo on it. According to the label, it smells like “a suicidal madman recently risen from the dead after conquering a planet and abandoning his friends to get himself cut to gory ribbons like a slagging fool.” I thought that might mean the aroma of sweat and blood mixed with wet dog, but it actually mostly smells like men’s body spray.
Scythe Iron On Patch

Fae Crate’s iron-on patch was designed by Reading Revelry and shows off the Reaper’s Scythe with the words The Reaper Has Come And He’s Brought Hell With Him.
Love it.
Sons Of Ares Wall Hanging

Oh, I really can’t wait to find a place to hang this lovely wall hanging, which comes from artist Noverantale and depicts a recruitment poster that shows off the Ares helmet and an invitation to join the Rising.
Satin Booksleeve

The artwork for the satin booksleeve (photo above shows the front and back) comes from Leysa Blackbird and shows off some of our favorite Red Rising characters.
Car Coaster Set

These lovely car coasters, designed by Sam Kahn of Ealain Studios, are a true necessity for any Howler’s vehicle. Shit certainly does tend to escalate.
Power Bank

Finally, we have this Fae Crate exclusive power bank. Fittingly, it includes a quote from Darrow in Golden Son. Of course, being drenched in other people’s blood isn’t going to charge your cell phone, so it’s good this one comes with a USB connector.
That’s everything that comes in the box. For people who purchased the Box + book option, we also get…
Dark Age with Signed Bookplate

The book is the U.S. edition of Dark Age, and the bookplate is signed by Howler 1 himself, Pierce Brown.
Red Darrow & Gold Darrow Book Stickers

The artwork for these excellent Darrow depictions comes from artist Niru.Sky and shows us a rather dapper looking young, pre-carved Darrow, as well as the transformed Darrow as a Gold.
And that’s everything! Quite a haul for Howlers, and certainly worth the $62 price tag, including the signed book. It took a bit longer than they originally promised to ship, but it was worth the wait.
Fae Crate is currently sold out on the Dark Age Hangover Recovery Kit, however, they do have kits for other series available for sale right now.
