Pierce Brown recently teased that he’d be making an appearance at New York Comic-Con and today we have details about the event. Howler 1 will be on hand to discuss the upcoming fifth book in the Red Rising saga, Dark Age, at an event at Shop Studios in October. What’s more, Demon Cycle author Peter V. Brett will also be there.
Here’s what we know:
When: Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.
Where: Shop Studios (Level 4) – 528 West 39th Street New York, NY 10018
Tickets: A NYCC badge is NOT required to attend, however this is a ticketed event. Tickets cost $40 and can be purchased over at ShowClix.com.
So, what do you get for your $40? Well, for one thing, you get to be in the company of Pierce Brown to hear what he has to say about the Red Rising series, and whatever it is he might be willing to reveal about Dark Age. You’ll also get to hear from author Peter V. Brett, who has a new Demon Cycle novella (Barren) hitting shelves later this month. Beyond that, there’s some Red Rising swag included (a tote and buttons), as well as a pre-order of Dark Age, to be delivered to you upon publication in February (domestic shipping only). There’s also a pickup option for the pre-ordered book at Strand Book Store. You’ll also get a paperback copy of Peter V. Brett’s The Warded Man, which is the first book in his Demon Cycle series.
Update: Pierce Brown posted a picture of the tote and buttons, and it looks like the graphic on the bag (and one of the buttons) is the Ares helmet featured in some of the artwork from the Joel Daniel Phillips Kickstarter campaign a few years back. Check it out…
Not a bad deal, especially for those who weren’t planning on attending New York Comic-Con and thus, weren’t planning on getting a NYCC badge.
